Model licenses
Every model carries a license chosen by its uploader. Check it before selling prints or sharing remixes.
- FREE3DSTL-STANDARD
- Used on free3dstl's own designs. Free for personal use: download, print and give prints as gifts. Selling physical prints needs an active Commercial License. Never resell, share or re-upload the digital files.
- CC0-1.0
- Public domain. Use it for anything, no credit needed.
- CC-BY-4.0
- Use, remix and sell prints — credit the author.
- CC-BY-SA-4.0
- Like CC-BY, and remixes must use the same license.
- CC-BY-NC-4.0
- Free to use and remix with credit, but no commercial use.
- CC-BY-NC-SA-4.0
- Non-commercial, credit, and remixes share alike.
- GPL-3.0
- For source-bearing or parametric models; derivatives stay open.
Commercial License
A Commercial License ($9.99/month, cancel any time) lets you make and sell physical prints (on Etsy, at markets or in your shop) of every model under FREE3DSTL-STANDARD and of the files you create in the free3dstl makers, including the premium fonts and shapes. Prints sold while your subscription is active stay licensed afterwards. It doesn't cover selling the digital files, or models uploaded by other members (those keep their own licence). Subscribers get a licence certificate with a licence ID from their account page.
